German Wirehaired Pointers
since 1980

While we believe there is no better dog out there, this is not a breed for every family, or for every hunter. If you are considering a German Wirehaired Pointer for your next dog, I suggest you check out the many pages on this site to learn about the breed. Just look on the right side of this page and click on the links. Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have!

About Us
From our very first litter in 1985 our goal has been to produce the highest quality dog for the hunter and the home that we possibly could, and we believe we've done pretty well.
Here is a short list of some of the dogs we have bred and or owned, you can click on any of the underlined names to find out more about that dog. Or, go here to see other Justa GWP's.

ver·sa·tile

2: embracing a variety of subjects, fields, or skills; also : turning with ease from one thing to another
3 a (1) : capable of turning forward or backward : reversible versatile toe of a bird> (2) : capable of moving laterally and up and down <versatile antennae> b of an anther : having the filaments attached at or near the middle so as to swing freely
4: having many uses or applications <versatile building material>

We believe this breed will do whatever you ask of it and with the correct exposure, training and
more importantly, pedigree, they can excel at most anything. Our breeding program is directed at just that- a dog sound in mind and body, willing to adapt and capable of change. A GWP, a good GWP must be kind, strong, willing and did I mention stable?

Our GWP's are owned by hunters across the US- from Alaska to Maine! They hunt chuckar, quail, ducks, pheasant, ptarmigan, and several have been used for rabbit to boot! Own own Weasie (Ch Ruffcuts Justa Southwind JH) was a top notch ground hog and raccoon hunter, yet was one point shy of completing her Dual Championship. She knew the time and place for things.

Every dog bred at our kennel is tested in the field to find their strengths and weaknesses. When we find a weak point, we look for a sire or dam to compliment them. While we believe in line breeding, we are never afraid to look outside our own line for just the right bloodlines to bring in. Good dogs can be found in every venue, the trick if finding just the right one!

We don't breed very often, and when we do it must count! If you are looking to add a GWP to your family, drop us an email and we will do our best to find just the right dog for you.
